TWO POSITIONS AVAILABLE

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society mobilizes people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS. To fulfill this mission, the Society funds cutting-edge research, drives change through advocacy, facilitates professional education, collaborates with MS organizations around the world, and provides programs and services designed to help people with MS and their families move their lives forward. We partner with volunteers to accomplish our work. Staff members engage volunteers through effective and timely communications, facilitating meaningful opportunities, and continually seeking and providing feedback for reciprocal growth and learning.

The Web Production Specialist is responsible for maintenance and quality assurance of all Society web sites (and associated email variations) to provide constituents with an exceptional online experience and collaboration with team to continuously improve web and mobile practices and standards.

Essential Function/Responsibility

Responsible for the functional implementation and technical design, development, and maintenance of Society web sites to provide constituents with exceptional online experiences.

  • Use Society's approved web tools.
  • Responsible for timely and quality delivery of work across Society web sites as assigned.
  • Web and mobile properties include but are not limited to nationalMSsociety.org, MSconnection.org, and online fundraising sites (walkMS.org, bikeMS.org, challengewalkMS.org, diyMS.org, finishMS.org, and other leadership events) and apps, and other mobile apps.
  • Collaboration and communication with content and graphic asset providers to ensure content, graphics support a consistent, quality experience across devices.

Adhere to Society standards, processes and procedures for web and mobile production, maintenance, and day-to-day operations. Check own work and perform quality assurance as assigned.

  • Implement tasks in alignment with Society's brand, user experience (UX), user interface/interaction (UI), and technical standards.
  • Contribute to definition and ongoing updates to Society coding/technical standards, quality assurance standards and processes.
  • Ensure WCAG 2.0 Level AA accessibility across site production.
  • Implement on-page search engine optimization improvements as requested
Understand and stay apprised of production schedule, priority responsibilities, and communicates progress and status daily to ensure deadlines and standard response timeframes are met or resolved with transparency.

Apprise team of issues in a timely and consistent manner to ensure tracking resolution of roadblocks, bug fixes, or other issues.

Use designated online ticketing/production tools to manage and report

Closely collaborate within/between teams to ensure effective cross-channel experiences in support of Society strategic priorities and expected results.

Assist with implementation and troubleshooting of tracking/analytics issues.

Participate in cross-functional work teams to define and develop site enhancements as assigned.
