Job Description

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society mobilizes people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS. To fulfill this mission, the Society funds cutting-edge research, drives change through advocacy, facilitates professional education, collaborates with MS organizations around the world, and provides programs and services designed to help people with MS and their families move their lives forward. We partner with volunteers to accomplish our work. Staff members engage volunteers through effective and timely communications, facilitating meaningful opportunities, and continually seeking and providing feedback for reciprocal growth and learning.
  • Lead the centralized, timely, and quality execution of all web and mobile site production
  • Ensure implementation of Society standards, processes and procedures for web and mobile production, maintenance, and day-to-day operations
  • Coordinate with marketing on centralized asset collection/production (content and graphics)
  • Direct management/supervision of web production team
Essential Function/Responsibility

Lead the centralized execution of all web and mobile production

  • Work with stakeholders to identify and implement site updates, including content and graphic updates.
  • Lead the centralized, timely, and quality execution of all web and mobile site production, including site publishing and maintenance updates.
  • Work with trafficking and asset managers to develop and maintain annual production schedule, establish priority development and maintenance tasks, assign and allocate resources to ensure deadlines and standard response timeframes are met, and ensure assets needs are identified and ready in a timely manner.
  • Provide direct supervision and support to web production team on a daily basis to ensure timely resolution of issues and roadblocks and up-to-date status
  • Web and mobile properties include but are not limited to,, and online fundraising sites (,,,,, and other leadership events) and apps, and other mobile apps.
  • Through ongoing communications, provide continual progress and transparency on web production schedule, status, and team performance metrics.

Ensure implementation of Society's brand, user experience (UX) and user interface/interaction (UI) standards.

  • Develop Society coding/technical standards in consultation with IT.
  • Ensure proper documentation of production standards, processes and practices. Work with training department to ensure quality team training materials.
  • Develop and manage quality assurance procedures and practices for production team.
  • Regularly review and enhance Society practices and policies in web production to ensure WCAG 2.0 Level AA accessibility.
Participate on the cross-functional work team to develop master event experiences for Bike MS, Walk MS, Challenge Walk MS, DIY, Finish MS, and other leadership events. Identify business, functional requirements, prioritize features and enhancements for peer-to-peer online fundraising, and help manage scope, contracts and vendors.
Ensure close collaboration within/between teams to effectively coordinate cross-channel experiences in support of Society strategic priorities and expected results.
