The National Multiple Sclerosis Society mobilizes people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS. To fulfill this mission, the Society funds cutting-edge research, drives change through advocacy, facilitates professional education, collaborates with MS organizations around the world, and provides programs and services designed to help people with MS and their families move their lives forward. Position Summary:

  • Lead the evolution and optimization of the Society's digital marketing efforts by creating impactful digital journeys through marketing automation, email and mobile messaging, to drive results that support the Society's strategic priorities.
  • Develop the vision and roadmap to support digital constituent journeys through marketing automation, CRM and other data-driven marketing tools.
  • Develop and direct Society's digital marketing (email, mobile messaging, marketing automation) standards and quality assurance.
  • Leverage digital analytics to measure key performance indicators and inform future optimization.
  • Provide staff leadership within digital marketing and ensure close collaboration within/between teams to appropriately direct and coordinate efforts to ensure strategic alignment, effective cross-channel experiences, and expected results.
Essential Function/Responsibility

Lead the evolution and optimization of the Society's digital marketing efforts by creating impactful digital journeys through marketing automation, email and mobile messaging, to drive results that support the Society's strategic priorities.

  • Develop the vision and roadmap to support digital constituent journeys through marketing automation, CRM and other data-driven marketing tools.
  • Develop and direct Society's digital marketing (email, mobile messaging, marketing automation) standards and quality assurance.
  • Leverage digital analytics to measure key performance indicators and inform future optimization.
  • Provide staff leadership within digital marketing and ensure close collaboration within/between teams to appropriately direct and coordinate efforts to ensure strategic alignment, effective cross-channel experiences, and expected results.

Develop and direct Society's digital marketing (email, mobile messaging, marketing automation) standards.

  • Monitor industry best practices and competitive landscape pertaining to data driven marketing including email, mobile, application use, and marketing automation.
  • Document and regularly review and enhance Society strategy, practices, and policies in email and mobile messaging, including permission management, quality assurance for lists/audience segmentation, and email development
  • Educate and train the organization in alignment with strategy and guidelines.
  • Ensure close collaboration and develop critical relationships with organizational marketing stakeholders, and drive consistency in cross-channel marketing efforts.
  • Society-wide integration and consistent use of on-brand marketing and messaging/materials; works cross-departmentally and across the organization to provide strategic marketing support and leadership, as well as prioritized tactical influence and involvement to ensure successful outcomes in support of the Strategic Response.

Leverage digital analytics to measure key performance indicators and inform future optimization.

  • Provide insights into email performance as part of larger marketing analytics efforts; with others to understand the impact of the digital marketing program on achieving the Society's strategic priorities.
  • Work collaboratively to further identify and develop audience segmentation and targeted marketing tactics based on analytical insights.

Provide direct supervision and staff leadership to the digital marketing team, to appropriately direct priorities and involvement to ensure strategic alignment, staff growth and retention, and anticipated results
